Halie + Emery | Sunflowers at William L Brown Farm Market
I was so thrilled when Halie contacted me about taking some photos with her precious 2-year-old daughter, Emery! I had been dying to have a sunflower session this summer but didn't feel like driving the 2+ hours to Cumming, GA to see the well-known Anderson's farm. So, I spent a searching and searching for some sunflower fields in the middle Georgia area and had given up hope until... *cue trumpets playing* Instagram came to the rescue!
I found a precious little farm in Montezuma called William L Brown Farm Market. I saw that someone had posted a few photos in a sunflower field and I immediately knew we had to shoot there! I called the owners and had the pleasure of speaking to Mrs. Brown who was just the SWEETEST lady in the world. She graciously let us take photos in her field after the market closed.
As I was driving along the country roads, I noticed a storm brewing riiiight where I was supposed to be going. That's when Halie texted me and informed me it was raining :( I think I prayed the entire rest of the way and low and behold - it was sunny when I arrived!
Halie and Emery were a blast to work with, even though Emery wasn't feelin' the camera to start with! We braved the muddy fields and got to frolic in the flowers.
Aaaaand then it was time to go home. Hehehe.
Okay but have you ever seen such a sad widdle face?!
Thank you, Halie, for spending your Tuesday with me! It was an honor to capture you and your daughter!
